Words we use
A quick plain-English glossary of the terms you will see across the app.
The Good Work Club uses a handful of words in a specific way. Here is what each one means, in plain English, so the rest of the help center reads clearly.
People and stories
Interview
The whole engagement for one customer story, from the moment you put a name forward to the finished piece landing back with you.
Customer
The happy customer you put forward to be interviewed. You can read more in Add a customer.
Brief
Shown in the app as What's their story?, this is the sentence you write about why this customer is worth talking to.
Sharing and submissions
Story link
Also called your share link, this is your public link that customers use to put their own name forward. See your share link.
Submission
Shown as Waiting for your okay, this is a customer who raised their hand through your link and is waiting for you to approve or set aside.
Where an interview sits
Every interview moves through these stages in order: Requested, Scheduled, Interviewed, In draft, and Delivered.
Share-link submissions have two extra states: Pending review while they wait for you, and Declined if you set one aside.
What you get back
Deliverables
What we hand back to you: the story, pull quotes, the recording, the transcript, and photos.
Pull quotes
Short lines lifted from the interview, ready to post as they are.
Your look and your customer's page
Branding

Story page
Also called the portal, this is your customer's private page where they schedule and add photos.
Co-branded
Shows your brand alongside "with The Good Work Club".
